Mit Open CryptoPay wurde 2025 ein Meilenstein erreicht:
Krypto-Zahlungen sind im stationären Handel angekommen. Der von DFX entwickelte offene Payment-Standard ermöglicht Zahlungen per QR-Code direkt an der Kasse – schnell, einfach und mit deutlich niedrigeren Gebühren als klassische Kartenzahlungen.

137 SPAR Stores – erstmals flächendeckend

Ein zentraler Durchbruch war die Anbindung von 137 SPAR Stores in der Schweiz.
Damit entstand erstmals eine landesweit einheitliche Crypto-Payment-Experience im Retail, ein starkes Signal für Alltagstauglichkeit und Skalierbarkeit von Krypto-Zahlungen.

🌍 Internationale Reichweite & enormes Medienecho

Mit der Integration von Binance Pay können Kundinnen und Kunden mit über 100 Kryptowährungen direkt aus der Binance App bezahlen – unkompliziert, schnell und kostengünstig.
Das weltweite Medienecho war enorm: über 140 Millionen erreichte Menschen weltweit.

🤝 Weitere globale Partnerschaften

Mit KuCoin Pay kam eine weitere internationale Partnerschaft hinzu.
Millionen Nutzerinnen und Nutzer erhielten Zugang zu einer offenen, lokal entwickelten und global einsetzbaren Payment-Infrastruktur, ohne Kompromisse bei Effizienz oder Nutzererlebnis.

🧃 Juice Swap – DeFi auf Bitcoin

Mit dem Launch von Juice Swap, einer dezentralen Exchange auf Citrea, hat DFX einen wichtigen Schritt in Richtung Bitcoin-natives DeFi gemacht.

Im Laufe des letzten Quartals wuchs rund um Juice Swap eine aktive Community, begleitet von strategischen Partnerschaften. Mit Produkten wie JUSD, dem dezentralen USD-Stablecoin, einer Bridge in und aus dem Citrea-Netzwerk sowie weiteren geplanten Lösungen ist das Projekt optimal für den Citrea-Mainnet-Launch in 2026 aufgestellt.

🔐 Persönliche IBAN für alle DFX Kunden

Mit der Einführung persönlicher IBANs hat DFX 2025 einen wichtigen Schritt im Banking-Bereich gemacht. Jede Kundin und jeder Kunde kann seither eine eigene IBAN auf den eigenen Namen im DFX.swiss Account generieren.

Einzahlungen laufen direkt auf das persönliche Konto, werden schneller verarbeitet und gleichzeitig profitieren Nutzerinnen und Nutzer von mehr Privatsphäre.

dEURO Protocol & dEURO Association

Der erfolgreiche Launch des dEURO Protokolls sowie die Gründung der dEURO Association legten früh im Jahr den Grundstein für nachhaltiges Wachstum. Als erster dezentraler Euro-Stablecoin setzte dEURO von Beginn an auf Transparenz, klare Governance-Strukturen und starke Community-Einbindung.

Das wachsende Nutzerinteresse bestätigte diesen Ansatz und schuf die Basis für eine kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung im weiteren Jahresverlauf.

Im Sommer wurde Bitcoin in Kreuzlingen ganz konkret erlebbar: Am Fantastical und rund um das Seenachtfest akzeptierten 21 Händler Bitcoin als Zahlungsmittel. 

Dieses Event zeigte eindrücklich: Bitcoin funktioniert, wenn man es einfach macht.

Gründung der DFX Services AG

Mit der Gründung der DFX Services AG im Kanton Zug wurden Betrieb, Wartung und Support der Software- und Payment-Infrastruktur klar gebündelt. Damit schuf DFX die Grundlage für regulatorische Klarheit und nachhaltige Skalierung.

With Open CryptoPay, a major milestone was reached in 2025:
Crypto payments have arrived in brick-and-mortar retail. The open payment standard developed by DFX enables QR-code payments directly at the checkout — fast, simple, and with significantly lower fees than traditional card payments.

137 SPAR stores – nationwide rollout

A key breakthrough was the integration of 137 SPAR stores across Switzerland.
For the first time, this created a nationwide, unified crypto payment experience in retail, a strong signal for scalability and real-world usability.

🌍 International reach & major media coverage

With the integration of Binance Pay, customers can pay with over 100 cryptocurrencies directly from the Binance app, seamless, fast, and cost-efficient.
The global media response was enormous, reaching over 140 million people worldwide.

🤝 Further global partnerships

Another international partnership was added with KuCoin Pay.
Millions of users gained access to an open, locally developed, and globally scalable payment infrastructure, without compromising efficiency or user experience.

🧃 Juice Swap – DeFi on Bitcoin

With the launch of Juice Swap, a decentralized exchange on Citrea, DFX took an important step toward Bitcoin-native DeFi.

Over the last quarter, an active community formed around Juice Swap, supported by strategic partnerships. 🔐 Personal IBANs for All DFX Customers

With the introduction of personal IBANs, DFX took an important step in the banking space in 2025. Every customer can now generate a personal IBAN in their own name within their DFX.swiss account.

Deposits are credited directly to the personal account, processed faster, and users benefit from greater privacy and clearer payment processes.

The successful launch of the dEURO protocol and the founding of the dEURO Association laid the foundation for sustainable growth early in the year.
